Spring Break '10

Happy spring break, scholars!

I'm hopeful that you will enjoy the sun and the beach, the relaxation and the time off; I know I will! :-)

(Don't forget that your home reading log 14 is due upon your return Monday.)

Have a fabulous break and read, read, read!

Yours truly,

M. Kittner

Hey Mr.K

SAAAWEEEEEEEEEEEET, S. Gray! It's nearly impossible to pass up that bargain! That's fabulous that you've taken such a liking to Palmer's books ... and I cannot blame you: they are always some of my favs. Both of the ones you are now reading -- in my opinion -- are two of his best.

Would you put _The Fifth Vial_ in your Top 10 reads?! (I would!!)

Also, I just started a Michael Palmer novel myself, his latest: _The Last Surgeon_. I'll report back to you Monday with my take on it.

You and your family have a WONDERFUL spring break!! Any horse shows during your time off?

Hey Mr. K,
I was almost disappointed when I didn't see you in St Augustine yesterday. :[
it was cool, we ate at a hippie-type cafè. It was kinda funny when this guy comes outside with a carrot, throws it at the garbage can and a raccoon crawls out. The guy said, "Hey buddy, stay out of my trash. We don't want you to get hurt." Glad to know the locals care. :)
Hope you've enjoyed your time...?

Mr.Kittner
Well a lot of things have changed I got sick for the past 3 days so I couldn't read at all this morning I felt a lot better and my mom and I decided to go ride our horses. As we were riding my moms horse started bucking and went crazy my mom ended up falling off and wasn't moving ambulance came out and we had to go to Baptist Hospital come to find out she has broken her pelvis in 2 places and can barley move. Shes staying in the hospital over night and my brother and I just ran home to get her stuff needless to say it's been a crazy spring break and a heck of a start to the weekend we don;t know how long she will have to be in the hospital but can I have a couple extra days for my reading log I can get it done that's not an issue it's just i don't know how my weekends going to go.

S. Gray,

Oh my gosh! I am SO sorry to hear about your mom's accident. I'm glad she's OK. (Well, as "OK" as she can be.)

My gosh. Please know that I'm thinking of your mom and her quick recovery.

As for your reading log, would you like me to exempt you from the assignment (this means it would be as though you never had one)? It won't count against you, but you don't get credit for it, either.

Why don't we just do that. Then, later on in the quarter and when things settle down at home, if you would like to turn it in for the 200 points, you can.

Also, S. Gray, let me know if you need anything else!

Hey Mr. K,
I will be straight up, I left the Montmorency book in Florida. :(
But no worries, because my dad still has a job down there and will be sending it to us, I was looking for the book to finish my reading log (which is in the book) and I couldn't find it. My dad just called to say he found a book. May I have an extra day to get a new reading log? Sorry for the inconvenience of it all, though. /:
